Statins are a widely used class of drug, usually safe and well-tolerated. Their cutaneous side effects are exceedingly rare. We describe a case of photoexposed purpuric eruption mediated by rosuvastatin.
RESUMO
We report an atypical presentation of a common disease to highlight the importance of making a correct diagnosis of scabies surrepticius in front of any itchy dermatosis especially in elderly patients. The misdiagnosis of this disease results in extensive infestation, especially with the use of corticosteroids.
RESUMO
Chemotherapy extravasation is a rare but severe cutaneous complication associated with administration of intravenous chemotherapy. Extravasation causes serious disability and diminishes the quality of life in patients with cancer undergoing antineoplastic therapy. Treatment of chemotherapy extravasation is not standardized. We report a patient with paclitaxel extravasation who was successfully treated with corticosteroids.
